narrative-focused story work.

Sometimes, we don’t know how to move forward. In order to survive we’ve developed coping strategies just to keep our heads above water, and we’ve minimized and normalized our pain because it’s all we know. But what if there was another way? What if we could gently take a closer look at stories of pain in order to more fully grieve the harm done to us, more courageously honor the strength we’ve employed to carry on, and more fully embody experiences of hope and desire?

In addition to offering psychotherapy, I also provide coaching focused on personal Story Work. One of my core beliefs is that the unique stories of our lives can be used to help discover the patterns, themes, and roles that we experienced in our families of origin. Stories are one of the greatest tools given to us to help name the impact of the world from which we came and to honor the people we have become.

I’m grateful that you would consider trusting me with the significant and delicate parts of your story. You are God’s greatest masterpiece, and I long to step into the tragedy you’ve experienced, the glory currently on display, and the redemption that will continue to unfold.
