<image:title>home - Helping you write the story you long to live.</image:title>
<image:caption>I believe that two of the most impactful ways of pursuing healing and growth are through therapy and personal story work. In therapy, we use the therapeutic relationship to identify the places where you feel stuck in order to both gain a deeper awareness and learn tools to move forward. In personal story work, we look at specific narratives from your past in order to discover unique themes, explore who you have become, and intentionally pursue who you long to be as your story continues to unfold.</image:caption>

<image:title>home - You have immense value. You are worthy of receiving care.</image:title>
<image:caption>Whether through therapy or personal story work, I long to join you in your story to offer care in the deepest cracks of pain, to help cultivate new rhythms of being and belonging, and to celebrate alongside you as you courageously move into experiences of healing and growth. It would be an honor to journey together.</image:caption>

      <image:title>about - Reid Zeller, MA, LMHC</image:title>
<image:caption>I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington, specializing in work around issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, and loss. I earned my Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. I continue to pursue intensive post-graduate training, including as a Facilitator with the Allender Center in Seattle, well known for its expertise in trauma-informed narrative therapy and personal story work. With over 15 years of experience in college ministry, I enjoy walking alongside others who are seeking to integrate faith into the messiness of their past hurts, present questions, and future hopes. I know that struggle well, as someone who is intimately acquainted with sorrow, suffering, and loss in my own story. And I long to join others on the journey of discovering both where they have come from and who they were made to be. In my free time, I love sipping coffee and baking pastries with my lovely wife. We enjoy adventures with our four kids around the Pacific Northwest, especially snowshoeing in the winter, hiking in the fall, and paddle boarding in the summer. I love adventure in all its forms, and I believe the greatest adventure is courageous and meaningful soul connection with others.</image:caption>

      <image:title>therapy - trauma-informed, narrative focused, relational therapy.</image:title>
<image:caption>I specialize in working with adults battling with anxiety and depression, individuals seeking freedom from addiction, and survivors of trauma and abuse. I believe healing and growth happen best within the context of relationship, a reality that is extensively supported by current neuroscience. I pull from numerous methodologies including family systems, attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed therapy. I believe that each person is comprised of a body, mind, and soul, and that within each of these areas we feel pain, get stuck, and experience struggle. This is most often experienced as a result of trauma, loss, and disconnection in relationships, and therefore it will be within the context of relationship that healing can occur. As I join you on this journey, I believe narratives from the past, as well as relationships in the present, will illuminate the path to growth for the future.</image:caption>

      <image:title>story work - narrative-focused story work.</image:title>
<image:caption>Sometimes, we don’t know how to move forward. In order to survive we’ve developed coping strategies just to keep our heads above water, and we’ve minimized and normalized our pain because it’s all we know. But what if there was another way? What if we could gently take a closer look at stories of pain in order to more fully grieve the harm done to us, more courageously honor the strength we’ve employed to carry on, and more fully embody experiences of hope and desire? In addition to offering psychotherapy, I also provide coaching focused on personal Story Work. One of my core beliefs is that the unique stories of our lives can be used to help discover the patterns, themes, and roles that we experienced in our families of origin. Stories are one of the greatest tools given to us to help name the impact of the world from which we came and to honor the people we have become. I’m grateful that you would consider trusting me with the significant and delicate parts of your story. You are God’s greatest masterpiece, and I long to step into the tragedy you’ve experienced, the glory currently on display, and the redemption that will continue to unfold.</image:caption>
